Every fabric building is built around an engineered steel frame with a tensioned fabric roof stretched tight over the top. The result is a wide, open interior with no internal columns to work around, flooded with natural daylight through the translucent cover.

Because the frame is hot-dip galvanised and the fabric is engineered to resist UV and weather, a fabric building stands up to demanding conditions for decades, while going up far faster than a steel or concrete unit of the same size.
Why choose a fabric building?
A fabric building gives you more usable space for less. There are no internal columns to design around, the translucent roof cuts your daytime lighting and energy costs, and the whole thing installs in weeks rather than months, with far less disruption than a conventional build.
It's built to last, too. The steel frame is hot-dip galvanised to resist corrosion, even in salt or damp environments, and the tensioned cover is engineered to shrug off UV and weather. Fabric doesn't heat up like steel, so the interior stays cooler in summer and, with the right ventilation, free of the condensation that plagues metal buildings.
And it's built around you. Choose the span, height, profile and colour, add insulation, ventilation, lighting, doors and end walls, and specify it as a permanent, temporary or relocatable structure to suit your site and how you work.

Six Thousand Tonnes on Difficult Ground
South Shields Council needed covered storage for 6,000 tonnes of bulk material, but the site was a difficult one, with poor ground conditions, varying bearing capacity and a steep natural slope. The fabric building goes up quickly, so the real challenge lay underneath it: foundations that could carry serious storage loads on ground that couldn't be trusted on its own.
Eurodome started below the surface, delivering the full structural package as one job, from piling and an engineered concrete slab to retaining walls and the complete fabric superstructure. Because the piling, slab and structure were designed together, the building performs on a site that would have ruled out an off-the-shelf approach, giving the council a durable 6,000 tonne store delivered to programme from foundations to finished roof.
Keeping HS2's Materials Dry
On the southern section of HS2, EKFB needed to store large volumes of aggregate and other moisture-sensitive materials on site. Left in the open they soak up rain, and wet aggregate has to be dried before use, adding energy, cost and carbon. Eurodome built storage bays combining weatherproof fabric structures with Legioblock retaining walls, with wide openings so loaders and delivery vehicles could get in and out without slowing the site.
The covered bays held moisture content steady, cutting the need for energy-hungry drying and protecting material quality. The result was reliable, low-maintenance bulk storage that reduced waste and supported lower running costs and emissions.

Every fabric building is designed around your site, your use and how you work. We size the span, height and profile to suit, specify the doors, walls and services you need, and engineer it to the wind and snow loads of your exact location. Because we design, manufacture and build in-house, one accountable team takes it from first sketch to finished structure, so the building you get is exactly the one we drew.

Depending on its size and use, a fabric building may be permitted development or may need a full application. We advise you on which before you commit, then prepare and submit the drawings, structural information and supporting documents your local authority expects, and handle the process for you, so you can get on with business while it goes through.

Our own accredited crews handle the whole build, from the groundworks and foundations through to erecting the frame and tensioning the cover. They work to recognised safety standards, and because the components are made off site, installation is fast and far less disruptive than a conventional build. When it's done, you get a finished building ready to use.

A fabric building needs very little upkeep, but a little care keeps it performing. We service and inspect the structures we build, checking the frame, cover, fixings and tension, and putting right any early wear before it becomes a problem. You get a clear report after every visit, and one team that already knows your building, with the parts to hand.

The fabric cover takes the brunt of the weather, so it's usually the first thing to wear. We repair damage and re-sheet worn covers to give your building a fresh lease of life for a fraction of the cost of a new one, and we can do it even on buildings we didn't originally supply. If a repair will do, we'll say so and only do what's needed.
