Container Canopies
Turn your shipping containers into covered, weatherproof storage or workspace. A Eurodome container canopy spans the gap between your containers, giving you a wide, sheltered space underneath, without groundworks, without a permanent build and, in most cases, without planning permission.

Covered space from the containers you already have
A container canopy is a simple idea done well. A tensioned steel-and-fabric canopy spans between two rows of your shipping containers, turning them into the walls and foundations of a large, covered space. You get the room underneath without pouring a slab or waiting on a permanent build.
Mounts to standard 20ft or 40ft containers
Wide, column-free clear span
No groundworks or foundations
Usually no planning permission
The containers do the heavy lifting as your base and sidewalls, so a canopy goes up in days, extends as you grow, and comes down and moves with you if your site changes. Add gable ends, doors or side sheets and you can enclose and secure the space completely.
Why choose a container canopy?
A container canopy gives you serious covered space fast, and for a fraction of the cost of a permanent building. There's no slab to pour, no lengthy build and, as a temporary structure, usually no planning permission to wait on.
It's built to last, too. A corrosion-resistant steel frame and a heavy-duty, UV-stable fabric cover stand up to whatever the British weather throws at them, and because the whole thing is modular and relocatable, it keeps earning its keep even when your operation moves or grows.
And it flexes to how you work. Choose the span, height and colour, leave the ends open or enclose them, and add doors and side sheets for security, so the finished canopy suits your site and your operation.
Is this the right storage type for me?
At Eurodome, we design and build four types of structure: container canopies, dome timber barns, fabric buildings and sliding roofs. Each is built for different needs, so the right one comes down to what you're covering, your site and how long you need it. A container canopy is ideal for:
Covered storage
Workshops
Loading bays
Vehicle & plant
Waste & recycling
Welfare space

From wide clear-span interiors to finished exteriors, take a look at the fabric structures we design and build. Every one is engineered to the site it stands on.
Everything your canopy needs, in-house
We don't just drop off a kit and leave. Because we design, engineer, manufacture and install every structure ourselves, one team looks after your canopy from the first conversation right through to years of use, and we're still here long after handover. Here's how we support your canopy at every stage.
-
Every canopy is designed around your containers, your site and how you work. We size the span and height to suit, decide how the ends are enclosed, and engineer it to the wind and snow loads of your exact location. Because we design, manufacture and build in-house, one accountable team takes it from first sketch to finished structure, and the canopy you get is exactly the one we drew.
-
A container canopy usually counts as a temporary structure, so it often doesn't need planning permission, but that depends on the site and your local authority. We advise you on where you stand before you commit, and if an application is needed we prepare and submit the drawings and documents for you, so there are no surprises later and no hold-ups once you're ready to build.
-
Our own crews install your canopy, mounting it to your containers with no damage and no groundworks, and typically finishing in a matter of days. They work to recognised safety standards, and because much of the structure is prepared off site, the build is fast and causes very little disruption to a working yard. When it's done, you get a weathertight space that's ready to use straight away.
-
A container canopy needs very little looking after, but a quick check keeps it performing. We inspect the frame, cover, fixings and tensioning, re-tension where needed and put right any early wear, so your canopy stays weathertight and safe. Whether you want a one-off inspection or a regular visit, one team that already knows your structure keeps it in good order for years.
-
Storm damage or a cover that's reached the end of its life doesn't mean a new canopy. We repair the frame and fittings and re-sheet worn covers to give the structure a fresh lease of life for a fraction of the cost of replacing it, and we can do it even on canopies we didn't originally supply. If a repair makes more sense than a re-sheet, we'll tell you straight.
Who we work with
Eurodome builds for operations across construction, logistics, waste, ports and industry, working with everyone from contractors and site managers to councils and national infrastructure companies. Wherever there are containers and a need for covered space, a container canopy earns its place.
