Built for bulk storage
Dome timber barns are a long-lasting, low-maintenance way to store bulk materials of almost any kind, including salt, aggregates, fertilisers, sand, biomass and waste.
Designed to the latest Eurocodes and BS standards
Fast on-site installation
Minimal foundation on good ground
They're constructed from precision-engineered timber stressed-skin panels with a durable shingle cover on top. With diameters between 10 and 50m, you get a clear internal space with a high entrance, and the option of multiple entrances with our bespoke design service.
Why choose a dome timber barn?
Many of our dome timber barns are over 40 years old, demonstrating the long service life on offer. With nothing to corrode, you won't need extensive maintenance to keep them working as they should.
Barns are also built with minimal waste. Thanks to a long lifespan paired with the use of regenerative materials wherever possible, they're a renewable, sustainable resource. Crucially, they have a low carbon footprint compared with a steel structure of the same size.
With Eurodome, the entire design and build process is tailored to your requirements. That starts with the size and features of your barn, including the option of round or barrel shapes to suit your site. You also have a choice of colours, so your dome timber barn has a low-impact profile that blends with its surroundings.
Beyond our custom design process, we provide accurate, speedy on-site installation. That's thanks in part to our off-site manufacturing, which lets large components arrive ready to install. It's all topped off with fixed-price costing you can count on.
Is this the right storage type for me?
At Eurodome, we specialise in four types of structure: container canopies, dome timber barns, fabric buildings and sliding roofs. Each is built for different needs, so the right one comes down to what you're storing, your site and how long you need it. Dome timber barns are perfect for these types of applications.

Our latest projects
Throughout the UK and Ireland, we've installed over 180 Eurodomes. See for yourself with some recent projects below.
As a responsible business, Morgan Sindall Construction are committed to minimising their environmental impact.
Knowing that the construction and regeneration sectors have a huge role to play in creating a sustainable environment, reducing carbon emissions is a key target for the brand. Partnering with Eurodome to design and install this modular salt barn made this possible.

STRENSHAM
For Morgan Sindall Construction
We designed and constructed a modular salt barn in Strensham which was innovative and lightweight. Manufacturing off-site to minimise transportation, we saved 441 tonnes of carbon compared to constructing a salt barn conventionally.
BATH & NE SOMERSET
Eliptical Dome for new multi-use site
This elliptical dome provided over 1,000 tonnes of salt storage. It was built as part of a regeneration scheme on a new multi-use site for a local authority.
STRENSHAM
Turnkey offering for National Highways
Take a look at this impressive operational barn, offering over 3,000 tonnes of salt storage. It serves a sizeable part of the M5 motorway and the surrounding network.
CUMBRIA
LD-21 operational salt store
Balfour Beatty contracted Eurodome to design and construct a 2,000-tonne salt store on behalf of a local authority. The LD-21 was complete within 8 weeks, built onto a slab which was also constructed by Eurodome.
Everything your barn needs, in-house
We don't just supply the barn and leave you to it. Because we design, engineer, manufacture and install every structure ourselves, one team looks after your project from the first conversation right through to years of use, and we're still here long after handover. Here's how we support your barn at every stage.
-
Every barn starts on our own drawing board. We design and engineer it around your site, your capacity and how you work, then manufacture it in-house and build it ourselves. One accountable team takes the project from first sketch to finished structure, so nothing gets lost between a separate designer, maker and contractor, and the barn you get is exactly the barn we drew and engineered to last.

Planning can be the slowest part of any build, so we handle it for you. We advise on whether your barn is permitted development or needs a full application, then prepare the drawings, structural information and supporting documents your local authority expects. We submit the application and deal with the back-and-forth, so you can get on with running your operation while it goes through.

Your barn is installed by our own accredited crews, not subcontractors, so it goes up correctly and safely first time. They hold IPAF, CHAS and Constructionline Gold, and handle the groundworks, the structure and the finishing as one continuous job. Because much of the barn is made off site, installation is fast and far less disruptive than a conventional build, even on a live site.

A dome timber barn needs very little upkeep, but a little care keeps it performing for decades. We service and inspect the structures we build, checking the frame, cover, fixings and fittings and putting right anything that needs attention before it becomes a problem. You get a clear report after every visit, and one team that already knows your barn inside out and has the parts to hand.

Storm damage, an ageing cover or general wear over the years doesn't mean starting again. We repair barns and re-sheet worn covers to give them a fresh lease of life for a fraction of the cost of a new build, and we can do it even on structures we didn't originally supply. If a repair makes more sense than a full re-sheet, we'll tell you straight and only do the work the barn genuinely needs.
